About us

Experimental Psychopathology bridges the gap between basic psychological science and clinical psychology.  Our work spans this entire spectrum, from lab-based research to clinical trials. We examine the things that influence our mental health and we develop ways to improve mental health.

Our work explores the social, cognitive and biological processes that influence how people respond to and learn from their experiences, whether these are mundane, traumatic, positive or even therapeutic. Although our focus is on mental health, we are also exploring how similar processes can influence the way that people respond to and live with physical illness or pain.

Please read on if you’d like to know more about our work.
